Job Summary
As an Account Assistant, you’ll join our Finance team and gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-growing fintech.
You’ll work closely with the Finance team to ensure financial transactions and records are accurate, up to date, and properly maintained. From processing invoices and supporting bank reconciliations to maintaining financial records and assisting with month-end activities, you’ll play an important role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.
This is an opportunity to build practical experience in accounting and finance while developing a strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and processes within a dynamic technology-driven business.
Key responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable: process supplier invoices, prepare payment requests, and maintain supplier records.
Assist with daily bank reconciliation tasks and General Ledger maintenance.
Maintain petty cash and prepare petty cash reconciliations
Perform data entry of financial transactions into the accounting software accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist in preparing month-end schedules, basic financial reports and account reconciliations.
Organize, file and maintain financial documents (invoices, receipts, vouchers).
Assist with audit requests by compiling supporting documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and confidentiality requirements.
Carry out additional duties and ad-hoc finance projects as assigned by Head of Finance.
Qualifications & experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
Current participant in the national service program (available for the full service period.)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, filtering, basic pivot tables).
Familiarity with accounting software ( Sage) is an advantage.
Accurate data entry skills and strong numerical ability.
